Check List for PDFs

We've been recieving digital files here at Monographics for years - and we've seen all sorts of mistakes.
We urge everyone who sends us files to read the following. Making sure that your files are prepared correctly will prevent delays - something that we all want!

For files up to 10 MB, send by email to: print@monographics.co.nz (Note: sometimes your email provider limits how much you can send.
If the file size is more than 10 MB, we recommend using the service available on www.yousendit.com.

For further instructions on how to prepare and submit your digital files, or to view a list of alternative file formats, please continue reading.
Media Materials may be emailed (preferred) or supplied on USB stick, CD or DVD discs.

Native applications (Macintosh or Windows only)Please talk to us before sending. However as a general rule, we accept Adobe: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, or call to discuss additional options. Files native applications should be saved as high-resolution, press-ready PDF files for ad transfer. For InDesign it's best to 'package'.

We accept native application files in three applications only: InDesign (2 or later); Illustrator (10 or later); or Photoshop.

Fonts All fonts must be embedded, or provided if native application files are submitted.

Images  must be a minimum of 300 ppi (pixels per inch) and in CMYK or greyscale format. Note that for the best results logos should be in vector format where possible.

For optimal quality the effective resolution for continuous tone images should not be less than 300 ppi, nor greater than 600 ppi. Bitmap images should not be less than 400 ppi, nor greater than 1200 ppi. Rich black is recommended at 20-C, 0-M, 0-Y, 100-K. Total 4-colour process should not exceed 300% (C%+M%+Y%+K%).
