File too big for email? There are solutions.
File too big for email?
Ever worked hard on the words / graphics / design of a brochure, flier or poster - fighting to make the deadline. Then, once the job is completed you email it - but it bounces because it's too big (or email doesn't work). What alternatives do you have? You Send It (http://www.yousendit.com) is a free service where you can use your browser to upload the file - the recipient is notified by email.
This free service means you can confidently send files up to 100 MB - and they have a paid for service where you can send files of up to 2 GB. It's far faster and less expensive than couriers - we at Monographics recommend it.
Here’s how it works:

- Easily send your large file by uploading it through a web browser. There is also an application which allows you to send it from your desktop or from Microsoft Outlook - but the broweser solution seems to be the most popular.
- YouSendIt stores your file securely and emails Monographics (phil@monographics.co.nz) a link to click on and download the file.
- We receive the email notification, click on the link in the email and download the file. Done!

Native applications (Macintosh or Windows only)
Please talk to us before sending. However as a general rule, we accept Adobe: InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, or call to discuss additional options. Files native applications should be saved as high-resolution, press-ready PDF files for ad transfer. For InDesign it's best to 'package'.
We accept native application files in three applications only: InDesign (2 or later); Illustrator (10 or later); or Photoshop. (Windows XP or later; Mac OS X or later).
